Advancing
Humanity.

A family foundation built to outlast any one of us
— and to meet the frontier each generation inherits.

A family name, held in trust.

The Good Foundation is our family's foundation. It carries our name, and we built it to outlast any one of us. Each generation takes it on, looks after it, and hands it to the next.

Our mission stays the same: advance humanity. The work changes, because every generation meets a different frontier. Our job is to take that frontier seriously and stay with it for as long as the work needs.

We come from a long way back. Fifteen generations, from a Yorkshire village in 1538 and a Swiss one outside Zürich, to farm country in Virginia and Tennessee, and out to the West. This is the next chapter.

Meet the family

What does not change

  1. 01

    Long horizons

We measure our work in generations. Projects that take years are exactly what we're here for.

  2. 02

    Understanding first

We study hard things carefully and publish what we find as plainly as we can, without hype in either direction.

  3. 03

    People stay the authors

Tools help us gather and draft, and people make the decisions. That holds in our research, in care, and in what we teach.

  4. 04

    Power is not permission

We hold ourselves to a moral ceiling on what we build and do, and we keep that ceiling in public.

One house.

Programs, a place-named callout, and companies under the family name — each with its own color and standards.

The Good Institute

Live

Advancing Humans*
*in the age of Artificial Intelligence

This generation's frontier has an asterisk.

Artificial Intelligence is becoming ordinary infrastructure in how we make judgments, go to school, work, and run our homes. It arrives quietly at first and then it's everywhere. It is the largest change to everyday human life most of us will see.

The Good Institute is the Foundation's answer. It's a research institute that studies what AI does to emotions, judgment, childhood, work, and the household. Its work is reviewed before it ships and published in public, and we don't sell fear.

Program 02

Good Health

In family use

It started with someone we love.

When someone we love got hard news, the records were scattered, the language was dense, and the decisions wouldn't wait. So we built frontier AI for health and medicine and pointed the kind of research firepower usually reserved for hospitals and drug companies at one family.

Good Health holds a person's situation in one place: the diagnosis exactly as the clinician gave it, records with their print dates, and the person's own goal in their own words. Then it gives the family a careful second look at what is known, what is missing, and which questions to ask the doctor, including which choices can be undone. It is free for families on the access list. In an emergency, call your local emergency number; in a mental-health crisis, call or text 988 (U.S.). If your family faces a hard decision and wants a conversation, email tg@taylorgood.com with a phone number and a one-line summary. We are a family, not a medical or crisis service — we reply within 14 days when we can take the call; we are not staffed 24/7.

Program 03

Good Forensics

Free · Live

Know what happened.

Someone may have been in your accounts. The old path — private investigators, boutique forensic firms, weeks of phone tag — is murky, expensive, and often hard to buy into even when you can pay. Good Forensics is the free alternative: a guided export from the platforms you already use, a Case Code you write down (no email account), and an Account Stress Index readout you can keep, share with counsel, or simply use to sleep again.

We built it after watching someone I know try to get help and hit a wall of gatekeeping. Lower-income people facing digital abuse in a relationship, parents using a library computer, anyone in a divorce who suspects account tampering — they deserve the same clarity the wealthy can shop for. Your export never leaves this browser. Free, private by design, usable in minutes after your export is ready.

Program 04

Good Heroes

In the field

Service, returned.

Our family has a long line of service members, so this one is personal. Good Heroes is how we say thank you to the people who served — in person, with a care pack when paths cross, and with a clear path onto Artificial Intelligence so they are not left behind the tools reshaping work and daily life.

This is not only a street program. Millions of veterans would benefit from knowing AI — career transition, benefits navigation, small business, staying current without shame. Care packs and holiday parties stay. AI onboard with Good Edu and GoodAI is the second pillar. When neighbors are starting over after a fire, a flood, or a lost job, we show up the same way: hand to hand, no camera, no strings.

Program 05

Good Watch

Live · 90-day engagements

Assigned capacity.

Good Watch is how the Foundation shows up for fire departments: apparatus readiness with evidence before the tones, and training that compounds through after-action — not another dashboard, not an hours factory, not AI on the fireground.

Departments keep the data. Officers keep every consequential decision. The first ninety days are family-funded — instruments, AI guidance, and implementation included — and judged on four gates. Expand, pause, or end. Friendship does not override the scoreboard.

Program 06

Good Detail

Live · 90-day engagements

Assigned capacity.

Good Detail is how the Foundation shows up for law enforcement: sealed command risk briefs, task-force packs for HT and digital abuse, and a free Victim Rail through Good Forensics — not cameras, not predictive policing, not a tip portal.

Agencies keep the data. Humans keep every consequential decision. The first ninety days are family-funded — instruments, AI guidance, and implementation included — and judged on four gates. Expand, pause, or end.

Program 07

Good Nature

Planning · no land titled

Wild again.

Planning — no mountain titled, no forest locked. Intent locked. Two commitments we will not dilute: Good Mountain for wild mustangs at true scale, and forest parcels locked as bird sanctuaries. Next gate: written mountain shortlist of five with skyline pass/fail.

Not a slogan. Not a maybe. A generational land thesis: horses that run until they choose to stop, and canopy that does not fall for the next quarter's timber check. Family-funded. Patient. Built to finish.
